  • Walking along the road to school less stressful.

    Comfortable, easy for child to put on themselves and adjust, these also fold back down to be compact. They do not block a lot of sound but lower levels. They make walking along the road to school less stressful for my daughter taking the sound of passing cars to "noisy cat purrs" in her words.

    What makes this a good kit?

    Our small vibration tool kit provides a really nice range of products that all vibrate for self or applied sensory input.

    Portable Cushion: The large massage pillow can be sat on or lent against to feel the vibration through the soft and padded material. The cushion is turn on with a switch and can be turned off when not required and still sat or lent against. There is a handy strap to hold it in place on a seat. Available in black only. One size. 

    LED Body Massage: Using the handy body massager is a great way to help yourself relax and feel calm with the gentle colour changing LED lights and the gentle vibration. The shape of the massager makes it really easy for the user to take control and apply only the pressure they desire. Equally, the massager can be used by another to provide a relaxing massage to someone who would benefit from the sensory input. Please bear in mind that the colours may vary and picked at random at the point of despatch. (3 x AAA batteries required - not provided)

    Massage Balls: Porcupine balls are small plastic spiky balls for tactile play and massage therapy. These balls can be rolled over the body, under the feet, between the palms, or tossed between two people.  They can also be used for finger exercise, grip enhancement and catching games.  Ease away tension and release muscles through the body using these sensory balls.

    CHRISTMAS RETURNS POLICY

    We want to give our customers peace of mind that all eligible products purchased between 1st November 2024 and 25th December 2024 can be returned or exchanged until 31st January 2025.

    Customers simply need to return the product(s) in their original re-sellable condition together with the completed Returns Form.

    Please note this excludes reporting missing or damaged products which must be reported within 3 working days, so please ensure you open and check your order when it arrives.

     

    DELIVERY

    Products that are in stock and ordered before 2pm, Monday to Friday, will be despatched on the same working day. 

    Sensory Direct's Weighted Blankets, Weighted Jackets, Shoulder Wraps, Lap Pads and other handmade products may take 3-5 working days to be despatched if not in stock. We will endeavour to contact customers whose orders may be affected by any despatch delays.

    • Delivery is FREE for online orders of £45 and above within Mainland UK (excluding Highlands, Offshore Islands and Northern Ireland).
    • Mainland UK delivery charges are £3.95 Royal Mail and £5.95 for Courier delivery for orders under £45. (See FAQs for Courier Estimated Delivery Times).
    • Small products are sent by Royal Mail. Larger products are sent by Courier for Mainland UK next day delivery. For smaller products that are in stock and ordered before 2pm, you can now select and pay for Mainland UK next day delivery at the checkout stage.
    • Some larger products may be delivered directly from the manufacturer. 
    • Please note we cannot deliver to a PO Box address.
    • We are currently unable to ship outside of the UK unless you hold a trade account with us.

    RETURNS

    We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, but if you find that the product is not suitable you must return the product to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange of the same or similar. There are some exemptions to this, please view the Returns page for further information regarding Sensory Direct's Weighted Blankets.

    Returns of sale products must be within 14 days of receipt.

    To receive a refund or exchange, goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging and with all original documentation.

    Our Story

    When my son was born with autism, my world changed and Sensory Direct was born

    Ethan had been prescribed different forms of medication, and although they helped a little, I didn’t want to become reliant upon them, so Ethan’s Paediatric Consultant suggested a Weighted Blanket. I remember hearing this and thinking ‘what on earth is a Weighted Blanket’? At this stage I was blissfully unaware of how life changing that Weighted Blanket would become.
