UV & Glow in the Dark Sensory Range

Ultraviolet (UV) light is sometimes known as black light. UV light is just beyond the blue end of the colour spectrum so appears 'invisible' to the eye. A UV torch or light produces ultraviolet light and when combined with UV responsive material or toys produces dramatic bright vivid colours which appear to glow.

SAFETY

UV light isn't harmful in small doses, so moderation is the key to using UV lights safely. Whilst the permissible exposure limit for UV light is somewhat complicated to determine, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology recommended half an hour or less. Protection is simple - cover up as skin is generally protected by lightweight clothing, and it is recommended that the eyes should be protected at all times. These precautions will allow you to enjoy the positive benefits achieved during UV light activities, but we would always advise you to seek professional advice regarding health and safety.
