Weighted blankets are a safe and effective way of helping sensory seeking children and adults unwind their bodies for sleep.
The weight in the blankets applies deep pressure to the touch receptors in the muscles, joints and ligaments helping the individual feel more in tune with their body and limbs imparting a soothing and calming effect.
Our blankets are made from 4 layers of superior quality cotton and polycotton for durability, comfort and safety. The weight is provided by purest quality plastic pellets (which conform to CE and BS5852 fire regulations) enclosed in an inner lining for extra safety and comfort. The blankets measure approximately 140cm x 110cm.
Weighted Blankets have found to be particularly effective for those with Autism and related Sensory Integration Disorder.
Your blanket can be treated with a non toxic fire-proofing spray at no extra cost - please request this in the special instructions box when ordering.
